WayOUT has announced the recipients of its 2025 Impact Award, which will be awarded at the nonprofit’s upcoming Gayla.
Oscar-winning Milk writer Dustin Lance Black, RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars Season 2 winner Alaska, Golden Globe-nominated singer Leland and Crooked Media co-founder Jon Lovett are among this year’s honorees, who will be recognized on Nov. 15 at Avalon Hollywood.
Black’s award will be presented by his Olympic gold-medalist husband Tom Daley, with more guests to be announced.
WayOUT’s latest Gayla continues the nonprofit’s mission of supporting life-saving work for LGBTQ youth in vulnerable and underserved communities across the country, with the Gayla benefitting Sweet Evening Breeze, the only organization in Louisville, Kentucky dedicated to providing housing to LGBTQ youth experiencing homelessness.
Hosted by Darby Lynn Cartwright and Alexis Bevels, WayOUT’s Gayla will feature performances by Caroline Kingsbury, Zoe Ko and Fena Barbitall, plus live and silent auctions. Tickets are available online.
