The Monkey has proven to be a huge box office hit for Neon.
Osgood Perkin’s The Monkey opened in theaters this past weekend. It has already made approximately $14.2 million at the box office, making it the second-highest opening for Neon after Longlegs. That movie, which was also directed by Perkins, made $22.4 million during its July 2024 opening weekend.
Captain America: Brave New World still claimed the number-one spot with $28.2 million, which is a 68% drop from its opening weekend, per Deadline. Meanwhile, Paddington in Peru came in third with $6.5 million, while the Zachary Levi-starring The Unbreakable Boy flopped with only $2.5 million.
