Woman brings 3-year-old toddler to 29-year-old friend’s child-free birthday party: ‘She used her child to get her way’ – FAIL Blog

If you bring your toddler to a child-free event, what exactly is your M.O.? This woman wondered why her “friend” broke the only rule of her birthday party by bringing her 3-year-old along.

Many people really love children, whether they have kids of their own or not. They’re silly and fun to play with, and hanging out with them can be a hilarious time for all involved. But you can’t just take your kid everywhere. Some spaces just are not meant for children. For example, it’s not very polite to take your cranky toddler to a fine dining experience where everyone else in attendance in an adult trying to have a relaxing evening. It’s not that places don’t want your kid there, they just know it’s not the right venue for a child to be in. If your kid is going to be bored or could get hurt from wandering around the space, you should just leave them at home.

The rise of child-free weddings and parties has made people discuss the etiquette around these events. Some parents find it incredibly off-putting when their kid isn’t invited somewhere, as if it’s an insult directly to their child.

At this adults-only birthday party, this woman still decided to bring her 3-year-old daughter along, which just seems like such a bad idea. At 3, kids can’t sit still, they cry and run around, they’re messy and attention-seeking. The mom claimed that she had to bring her daughter since the sitter canceled, but this didn’t go over well with the birthday girl, as you can check out in the story below.

Then, check out the story of the absent father who requested money for his step-son from his daughter, leading one commenter to tell the daughter, “You will never see your money again.”
