All cats are a mixture of spicy and sweet. Like a concoction made by a 5-year-old with unsupervised access to the bathroom soaps, felines are a blend of intellect, beauty, sass, and feistiness that cannot be bottled or tamed. They’re as unpredictable as they are cuddly, while remaining stoic and somehow still silly. Kitties captivate us hoomans with their diverse purrsonalities and can soften even the hardest hearts with nothing but baked biscuits and a tail flick.
Perhaps this is why we humans constantly love the cats around us. You never know when your cat will make the switch from sweet to spicy, and enjoying every facet of their mercurial mood is a part of the whole kitty-loving package. One minute you’re petting your cat and their purrs rattle your desk, the next minute they’re flipping on their back, ears smashed to their head, as they attack your exposed wrists. When it comes to kitties, you’ve got to expect the unexpected, love them unconditionally, and always have a can of wet food in the cupboard… just in case you need a light bribe.
